Biz E15-17 rat embriyoları hipokampal veya kortikal nöronların ayırmak ve kültür için hızlı bir yöntem tarif edilir. Prosedürü fare ve insan birincil nöronlar ve sinir progenitörlerin izolasyonu başarıyla uygulanabilir. Ayrışmış nöronlar ila birkaç hafta serum içermeyen aracı madde içinde muhafaza edilir. Bu kültürler nucleofection, immünsitokimya, nükleik asit hazırlanması yanı sıra elektrofizyoloji için de kullanılabilir.
