APPR permet l'expression de la protéine de centaines d'échantillons, imprimés sur des lames de nitrocellulose pour être interrogé simultanément, en utilisant des anticorps marqués par fluorescence. Cette technique a été appliquée pour étudier l'effet de l'hétérogénéité traitement de la toxicomanie au sein de cellules de carcinome rénal clair.
