an in-vitro preparation of isolated enteric neurons and glia from the myenteric plexus of the adult mouse

Den enteriske nervesystemet er et stort nettverk av nevroner og gliaceller kjører lengden av mage-tarmkanalen som funksjonsmessig styrer gastrointestinal motilitet. Videre kan denne framgangsmåten utføres i genetisk modifiserte dyr. Denne metodikken er enkel å utføre og billig. Samlet eksponerer denne protokollen komponentene av det enteriske nervesystemet i en lett manipuleres måte, slik at vi kan bedre oppdage funksjonaliteten til ENS i normale og sykdomstilstander.
