De UCNCs werden gevormd door de reductiereactie kopernitraat met natriumboorhydride in aanwezigheid van de polymere afdekmiddel O-[2 - (3-Mercaptopropionylamino) ethyl]-O&#39;-methylpolyethylene glycol (MW = 5000) [MPEG]. De reactie werd uitgevoerd in het millifluidic chip reactor met verschillende stroomsnelheden zoals 6,8 ml / uur, 14,3 ml / uur, 32,7 ml / uur en 51,4 ml / uur om het effect van stroomsnelheden op UCNCs gevormde bestuderen. De respectieve verblijftijden voor de hierboven stroomsnelheden zijn 47.49, 24....

Lab-on-a-chip (LOC) apparaten voor de chemische synthese hebben significant voordeel aangetoond in termen van meer massa en warmte-overdracht, superieure reactie controle, hoge doorvoersnelheid en veiliger werken milieu 1. Deze apparaten kunnen grofweg worden ingedeeld in chip gebaseerd fluïdica en nonchip gebaseerd fluïduminrichtingen. Onder de chip-gebaseerde fluïdica, wordt microfluidics goed onderzocht en een onderwerp goed behandeld in de literatuur 2-5. Nonchip gebaseerde LOC systemen tubulaire reactoren 6. Conventioneel, worden microfluïdische systemen voor nauwkeurige controle en manipulatie van vloeistoffen die geometrisch zijn beperkt tot submillimeter schaal. We hebben onlangs het concept van chip gebaseerde millifluidics, die kan worden gebruikt voor manipulatie van vloeistoffen in kanalen in millimeterschaal (of breedte of diepte of beide kanalen ten minste een millimeter groot) 7-9. Bovendien zijn de millifluidic chips relatief eenvoudig te fabriceren while die soortgelijke controle over debiet en de manipulatie van reagentia. De chips kunnen ook worden gebruikt bij hogere stroomsnelheden, waardoor kleinere verblijftijden daardoor biedt de mogelijkheid voor opschaling van gecontroleerde synthese van nanodeeltjes met smallere grootteverdeling. Als voorbeeld hebben we onlangs aangetoond de synthese van ultra-kleine koperen nanoclusters en gekarakteriseerd ze om in situ X-straal absorptie spectroscopie en TEM. Mogelijkheid om kleine verblijftijden in millifluidic kanalen in combinatie met het gebruik van MPEG, die zeer efficiënt bidentaat gePEGyleerde stabiliseringsmiddel voor de vorming van stabiele colloïden koper nanoclusters 7 verkrijgen. Naast de synthese van chemicaliën en nanomaterialen, zou de millifluidics bieden door hogere volume en concentratie van de probe, een synthetisch platform dat meer algemene en efficiënt voor tijdsopgeloste kinetische studies alsmede achieves betere signaal-ruisverhouding dan microfluïdische systemen 7,10. We tonen het gebruik van millifluidic chip als voorbeeld tijdopgeloste analyse van de groei van goud nanostructuren uit oplossing door in situ XAS met een tijdsresolutie van slechts 5 msec 11. Ook deel van het micro reactoren ontwikkeld tot op heden voor katalyse toepassingen zijn gebaseerd op silicium 12,13. Hun dure fabricage in aanvulling op kleine volumes gegenereerd maakt ze ongeschikt voor grootschalige productie. De twee algemene methoden voor het bekleden van de kanalen met nanocatalysts - chemische en fysische, vaak aangeduid als siliconen coating procedures, zijn momenteel in de mode 14,15. Naast dure microfabricage, verstopping van de kanalen maakt microreactor katalyse geschikt voor grootschalige productie zijn. Hoewel microreactoren zijn gebruikt voor heterogene katalyse micro continue doorstroom processen EARLIer 16-18, de mogelijkheid om de dimensie controle en morfologie van de ingebedde goud nanogestructureerde katalysatoren in continue stromingskanalen werd nooit onderzocht. Recent hebben wij een technologie voor het coaten van de millifluidic kanalen met Au katalysatoren, nano morfologie en afmetingen (fig. 5) 11 die gereguleerd uitvoering katalyse van industrieel belangrijke chemische reacties. Als voorbeeld nemen we omzetting van 4-nitrofenol hebben aangetoond in 4-aminophenol gekatalyseerd door nanostructured goud gecoate binnen de millifluidic kanalen. Gezien het feit dat een enkele millifluidic reactor chip debiet van 50-60 ml / uur, 7 high-throughput en gecontroleerde synthese van chemische stoffen kan produceren is mogelijk, hetzij door continue stroom werking of parallelle verwerking. Om te profiteren van de mogelijkheden van de millifluidics bieden, met enkele voorbeelden zoals hierboven beschreven, hebben we ook aantonen dat er een gebruiksvriendelijkemillifluidic apparaat dat is draagbaar en heeft het alle benodigde componenten zoals millifluidic chips, spruitstukken, flow controllers, pompen en elektrische aansluitingen geïntegreerd. Een dergelijke millifluidic inrichting, zoals in de figuur 7 is nu verkrijgbaar bij de firma Millifluidica LLC ( <a href="http://www.millifluidica.com" target="_blank">www.millifluidica.com</a> ). Het manuscript geeft ook protocollen met de hand vastgehouden millifluidic apparaat, zoals hieronder beschreven gecontroleerde synthese van nanomaterialen tijdsopgeloste analyse van reactiemechanismen als continu katalyse.

millifluidics for chemical synthesis and time-resolved mechanistic studies

Procedures gebruik millifluidic inrichtingen voor chemische synthese en tijdsopgeloste mechanistische studies beschreven door middel van drie voorbeelden. In de eerste, is de synthese van ultra-kleine koperen nanoclusters beschreven. Het tweede voorbeeld verschaft hun nut voor het onderzoeken tijdopgeloste kinetiek van chemische reacties door analyse gouden nanodeeltjes met vorming in situ röntgenabsorptie spectroscopie. Het laatste voorbeeld toont continue stroom katalyse van reacties in millifluidic kanaal bekleed met nano-gestructureerde katalysator.

Goed verspreid en uniforme formaat koper nanoclusters met een smalle grootteverdeling werden verkregen met behulp van de millifluidic chip setup (afb. 1a). De verschillende stroomsnelheden voor de synthese had geen significant effect op de grootte van de clusters hebben. Maar met toename van de stroom-snelheid, is er een waarneembare verbetering van de vernauwing van de grootteverdeling.
