Hace unos años, la creación de células madre pluripotentes inducidas humanas (iPSCs) marcó el comienzo de una nueva era en la biomedicina. Los usos potenciales de iPSCs humanos incluyen el modelado patogénesis de enfermedades genéticas humanas, la terapia celular autóloga después de la corrección de genes, y la detección de drogas personalizada, proporcionando una fuente de células relevantes y los síntomas específicos del paciente.
