Over 75% af patienterne oplever ACL skade vælger ortopædisk rekonstruktionskirurgi 1,2,3,4. Kirurgisk indgreb er ofte indiceret på grund af en iboende dårlig heling potentiale 3. ACL rekonstruktion opnås typisk ved hjælp af en autograft eller allograft senen. Autograft og allotransplantat repræsenterer den gyldne standard for rekonstruktion, som de praler høj succesrate, og den primære sutur reparation, den anden behandlingsmulighed, har vist fejlrater på op til 94% 5,6,7. surgical retrieval, isolation and in vitro expansion of human anterior cruciate ligament-derived cells for tissue engineering applications
