Vi rapporterer her den robuste og effektiv ekspression af fluorescerende proteiner efter mRNA injektion i ubefrugtede oocytter fra Branchiostoma lanceolatum. Udviklingen af mikroinjektion teknik i denne basale chordate vil bane vejen for vidtgående tekniske innovationer i denne nye model, herunder in vivo imaging og gen-specifikke manipulationer.
