Les implants cochléaires (IC) de permettre l'audition par la stimulation électrique directe du nerf auditif. Cependant, la mauvaise fréquence et la résolution d'intensité limite la qualité de l'audience avec les IC. Nous décrivons ici la stimulation optogenetic du nerf auditif chez la souris comme une stratégie alternative pour la recherche et le développement auditif futurs IC.
