We verkennen gang, een eenzijdige multi-joint beweging (fietsen), en twee eenzijdige single-joint bewegingen (geïsoleerd dorsiflexie van de enkel, en geïsoleerde hand knijpen). De technieken die kunnen nuttig zijn bij het bestuderen van zowel typische en atypische motorische controle, en kan worden aangepast aan een breed scala van taken en wetenschappelijke vragen onderzoeken.
