Il metodo qui presentata utilizza 18 F-Fluorodeoxyglucose (18 F-FDG) tomografia ad emissione di positroni / tomografia computerizzata (PET-CT) e grasso-acqua separata risonanza magnetica (MRI), ciascuna scansione dopo 2 ore di esposizione a thermoneutral (24 ° C ) e freddo (17 ° C), al fine di mappare tessuto adiposo bruno (BAT) in soggetti umani adulti.
