Wanneer de bundel sterk gericht de robot bepaalt de Z-afstand van het printoppervlak. Deze meting en de optische lichtsensoren meten van het uiteinde in Z, maakt berekening van accurate Z coördinaten gebruikt om de dispenser tip plaatsen ten opzichte van het afdrukoppervlak. De dispensertips bewegen lateraal en verticaal door de X-as gerichte optische lichtsensor aan de Y- en Z centra, en lateraal door een Y-as sensor naar het midden van de X-as zijn. Het drukoppervlak wordt toegewezen met de formule voor een plat vlak in xyz ruimte: ax + by + cz = d te bepalen waar het oppervlak ten opzichte van de positie van het afgifte-uiteinde. De fase printer (Figuur 1, J) houdt een monster petrischaal tot 80 mm in diameter en gebruikt een recirculerende waterbad tot de ingestelde temperatuur (Figuur 1, K) te handhaven. Driedimensionale paden kan handmatig worden gecodeerd in de printer-compatibele design software of een aparte computer-aided design tekensoftware (Figuur 4, tabel 1) geïmporteerd. De printer-compatibele software kunnen variaties van druk parameters zoals de afzetting methode (enkele druppel depositie of continu traject afzetting), driedimensionale geometrie van de paden, depositiesnelheid, afstand tussen de spuit uiteinde en substrate afdrukoppervlak, de tijd aan een individu vallen, en de hoogte storten en snelheid van de spuit wordt opgeheven tussen afzetting van de druppels. viability of bioprinted cellular constructs using a three dispenser cartesian printer

Tissue engineering has centralized its focus on the construction of replacements for non-functional or damaged tissue. The utilization of three-dimensional bioprinting in tissue engineering has generated new methods for the printing of cells and matrix to fabricate biomimetic tissue constructs. The solid freeform fabrication (SFF) method developed for three-dimensional bioprinting uses an additive manufacturing approach by depositing droplets of cells and hydrogels in a layer-by-layer fashion. Bioprinting fabrication is dependent on the specific placement of biological materials into three-dimensional architectures, and the printed constructs should closely mimic the complex organization of cells and extracellular matrices in native tissue. This paper highlights the use of the Palmetto Printer, a Cartesian bioprinter, as well as the process of producing spatially organized, viable constructs while simultaneously allowing control of environmental factors. This methodology utilizes computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing to produce these specific and complex geometries. Finally, this approach allows for the reproducible production of fabricated constructs optimized by controllable printing parameters.
