Ao combinar os dados publicamente disponíveis, ferramentas de bioinformática e utilizando tecnologia de microarray, os pesquisadores que seguem este algoritmo seria capaz de capturar em uma escala genômica como qualquerfactor de transcrição de qualquer tipo de células de interesse regula a expressão do microRNA-transcriptoma e para explorar uma contribuição putativo do factor de transcrição-regulação da expressão de ARNm em microARN.

Enquanto a regulação da transcrição de genes codificadores de proteínas foi extensivamente estudado, pouco se sabe sobre a forma como factores de transcrição envolvidos na transcrição de ARN não-codificantes, especificamente de microARNs. Aqui, propomos uma estratégia para estudar o papel potencial do fator de transcrição na regulação da transcrição de microRNAs usando dados publicamente disponíveis, recursos computacionais e dados de alto rendimento.
