Bakterielle mekanosensitive kanaler kan anvendes som mechanoelectrical transducere i biomolekylære enheder. Dråbe grænseflade dobbeltlag (DIBS), celle-inspirerede byggestenene til disse enheder, udgør nye platforme at indarbejde og stimulere mekanosensitive kanaler. Her viser vi en ny mikropipette-baseret fremgangsmåde til dannelse af DIBS, tillader studiet af mekanosensitive kanaler under mekanisk stimulering.
