Växter, som fastsittande levande organismer, har utvecklat en mycket sofistikerad nätverk av cell-till-cellsignalering för att hantera olika stimuli från omgivningen. Tropic svar är ett av de fenomen genom vilket växterna svarar på stimuli från omgivningen. Växter visar två huvudsakliga tropic responser, FOTOTROPISM och gravitropism. Fotosyntetiska växter böjas mot ljuskällan genom FOTOTROPISM att skörda maximal energi. På liknande sätt gör gravitropism växterna att växa i riktning mot gravitationscentrum. Den grundläggande mekanismen som leder till sådana tropiska svar innebär asymmetrisk lutning bildandet av fytohormonerna auxin en. Handlingen att lokala auxin gradient bildning är väl karakteriserad, de gener som är involverade i denna mekanism ger en färdplan för hormonverkan 2-8. Den särskilda ställning för auxin utflödes bärare, såsom PIN-formed (PIN) och P-glykoproteiner, utför rörelsen av auxin från cytoplasman till cellväggen hos givarceller 9,10. Undertryckta AtGSL8 uttryck resulterade i en förvrängd auxin gradient mönster som leder till ingen tropiska svar i motsats till vild typ plantor 15. I detta manuskript, metoder utforska nya kandidatgener som är inblandade i PD reglering tillhandahålls. I den aktuella konfigurationen, dexametason (dex) -inducerbara RNAi rader AtGSL8 [nedan dsGSL8 (+ dex / -dex)] användes som homozygota gsl8 T-DNA-inser mutanter plantor dödlig 18.
