L&#39;inflammation est un mécanisme immunitaire fondamental de la défense contre les agents infectieux. Il favorise l&#39;élimination des agents pathogènes et la réparation des tissus endommagés. Il facilite également la récupération à un état ​​de santé normal 1. Cependant, l&#39; inflammation dérégulée conduit souvent à des maladies inflammatoires chroniques 2. Inflammation des voies respiratoires est un facteur déclenchant diverses maladies pulmonaires telles que la maladie pulmonaire obstructive chronique (COPD), l&#39; asthme et la fibrose pulmonaire 3. La non typable (non encapsulé) , Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) est associée à des maladies inflammatoires pulmonaires supérieures et inférieures à 4,5 chroniques.
