Nas mesoscale, realizamos experimentos de impacto de recuo usando um penetrador instrumentado à base de pêndulo. No macroescala, realizamos reometria de placas paralelas para quantificar o corte módulos elásticos dependente da freqüência. Nós também discutir os desafios e limitações associadas a cada método. Juntas, estas técnicas permitem uma caracterização mecânica em profundidade de tecido cerebral que pode ser usado para entender melhor a estrutura do cérebro e ao engenheiro de materiais bio-inspirados.
