Calcogenetos metálicos, tais como SNSE ou CuInSe, são materiais versátil com uma vasta gama de aplicações, por exemplo, como semicondutores, termoeléctrico, ou materiais de óptica não linear 1-6. composições elementares similares são encontrados dentro chalcogenidometalates, em que o metal está num estado de oxidação formal positiva e coordenada por ligandos negativos (poli) calcogenetos para produzir uma espécie global aniónica. Considerando que os congéneres mais leves (ou seja, oxidometalates, comumente referidas como oxometalatos) têm sido extensivamente estudados, em particular para aplicações catalíticas potenciais, os chalcogenidometalates mais pesados são muito menos explorada. O nosso próprio interesse tem sido focado na síntese, propriedades, e mais reatividade de chalcogenidotetrelates (ou seja, os homólogos mais pesadas de silicatos) 10,11. Após a preparação das fases intermetálicas multinary por fusão dos elementos a temperaturas elevadas, subsequente extracção por solventes, na presença de um agente sequestrante proporciona os produtos desejados sob a forma cristalina (único). Em contraste, 4 K [PbTe 3] · 2en é sintetizada através de redução em situ em solução, como já foi usado tão cedo como 1891 para a geração da famosa Pb 9 4 - anião 19,20. Para este último, os metais alcalinos elementares foram adicionados a suspensões de chumbo em amoníaco líquido a baixa temperatura, enquanto que para o telluridoplumbate, uma liga de a composição nominal &quot;PbTe 2&quot; foi reduzida à temperatura ambiente, de novo por adição de potássio elementar. A primeira abordagem para tais espécies metalato de ser aqui apresentado é uma combinação de ambas as vias. Aqui, a síntese de estado sólido é seguido por redução em solução na presença de sequestrante barato agents, tais como 1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane (18-coroa-6), ou através da redução com metais alcalinos que são quelados pelo próprio solvente, sem a necessidade de agentes sequestrantes adicionais, semelhante ao síntese de [Na 4 (en) 7] [Sn 9] 21. A segunda abordagem também começa com a síntese de alta temperatura, mas isso é seguido por extracção das fases solvotérmico resultantes (isto é, a extracção a elevadas temperaturas e pressões) 22. A seguir, apresentaremos duas abordagens sintéticas e alguns dos nossos resultados recentes sobre a aplicação desses caminhos de reação.

combining solid-state and solution-based techniques: synthesis and reactivity of chalcogenidoplumbates(ii or iv)

As fases de &quot;PBCH 2&quot; (CH = Se, Te) são obtidos a partir de sínteses de estado sólido (isto é, pela fusão dos elementos sob condições inertes em ampolas de vidro de sílica). A redução de tais fases de metais alcalinos elementar em aminas proporciona chalcogenidoplumbate cristalina (II), sais de compostos de [PbTe 3] 2 - ou [Pb 2 CH 3] 2 - aniões, dependendo de qual o agente sequestrante para os catiões está presente: éteres de coroa, como 18-coroa-6, ou criptandos, como [2.2.2] cripta. As reacções de tais soluções de aniões com um rendimento de compostos de metais de transição (poli) aniões calcogenetos ou aglomerados calcogenetos de metais de transição, incluindo um com um ligando μ-PbSe (isto é, o homólogo mais pesado conhecido CO). Em contraste, a síntese de estado sólido de uma fase da composição nominal &quot;K 2 PbSe 2&quot; por meio de reacções sucessivas do elementos e por o tratamento subsequente solvotérmico em aminas produz o primeiro não-óxido / halogeneto inorgânico chumbo (IV) composto de: um sal da -selenidoplumbate orto (IV) anião [PbSe 4] 4 -. Isto foi inesperado devido às potenciais redox de Pb (IV) e Se (-II). Tais métodos podem ainda ser aplicada a outras combinações elementares, levando à formação de soluções com binário [HgTe 2] 2 - ou [bise 3] 3 - aniões, ou para sínteses de grande escala de K 2 Hg 2 SE 3 ou K 3 bise 3 através da via de estado sólido. Todos os compostos são caracterizados por difracção de raios-X de cristal único e análise elementar; soluções de sais plumbate pode ser investigado por 205 Pb e 77 Se ou 127 técnicas Te RMN. cálculos de química quântica usando densidade métodos da teoria funcionais permitir comparações de energia. Eles permitem ainda maispara insights sobre a configuração electrónica e, portanto, a situação da ligação. Molecular Rh contendo compostos Chevrel do tipo foram encontrados para exibir valência mista deslocalizados, enquanto ânions telluridopalladate semelhantes são elétron-precisa; o cluster com o ligante μ-PbSe é energeticamente favorecida em relação a analógico CO hipotética, em linha com a tentativa frustrada de sua síntese. A estabilidade do Pb formais (IV) dentro do [PbSe 4] 4 - ânion é principalmente devido a uma estabilização adequada dentro da rede cristalina.

A existência de um anião orto -selenidoplumbate [PbSe 4] 4-23 (ver Figura 1, parte superior direita), foi confirmada por experiências de difracção de cristal único, de análise elementar, e os cálculos de química quântica. The synthesis of chalcogenidoplumbates(II,IV) via the in situ reduction of nominal "PbCh2" (Ch = Chalcogen) and via a solid-state reaction and subsequent solvothermal reactions is presented.
