Factores tales como la integración del cartílago y integridad, la carga de soluto y tamaño, así como la osmolalidad y la concentración de baño en contacto con el cartílago puede influir en la velocidad de transporte 4, 5, 6. El transporte de solutos, ya sea neutros o con carga, puede ser diferente entre las zonas de cartílago articular, debido a que cada zona se compone de diferentes concentraciones y orientaciones de las principales moléculas de la matriz extracelular, es decir, los proteoglicanos (PGs) y colágeno de tipo II 1, 7, 8, 9,lass = &quot;xref&quot;&gt; 10, 11. <html> La osteoartritis (OA) es una enfermedad debilitante que está asociada con la degeneración del cartílago articular y el hueso subcondral. Degeneración del cartílago articular deteriora su función de soporte de carga sustancialmente como se experimenta tremenda degradación química, es decir, proteoglicanos y colágeno pérdida de fibrillas de interrupción.
