Alors que la pyrolyse de bio-huile se composent d&#39;une grande variété de composés chimiques et des groupes fonctionnels, la quantification des groupes carbonyle est particulièrement importante. Carbonyles sont connus pour être responsables de l&#39;instabilité de la bio-huile pendant la fois de stockage 1 et le traitement 2. La méthode de titrage présentée ici est une technique simple qui peut sûrement quantifier la teneur totale en carbonyle de bio-huiles. Seuls les groupes fonctionnels aldéhyde et cétone sont quantifiés à l&#39;aide de cette méthode; des groupes acides et lactones carboxyliques ne sont pas quantifiés. Pour l&#39; analyse de bio-huile, la quantification des groupes carbonyle par titrage a traditionnellement été réalisée en utilisant le procédé de Nicolaides 3. Ce procédé a été couramment utilisé dans la littérature biohuile 4, 5, 6, 7. C&#39;est unprocédure où carbonyles sont convertis en l&#39;oxime correspondante simples (voir Figure 1). Le HCl libéré réagit avec de la pyridine pour forcer l&#39;équilibre à la fin. L&#39;acide conjugué de pyridine est titrée avec une quantité connue de NaOH (solution titrée de base). Le nombre d&#39;équivalents de NaOH utilisée est stoechiométriquement équivalente aux moles de groupe carbonyle présent dans la bio-huile. La méthode Nicolaides, cependant, présente plusieurs limites. Il peut nécessiter des temps de réaction de plus de 48 heures pour atteindre la fin. Cela limite considérablement le débit échantillon. Elle utilise la pyridine, qui est toxique. Poids de l&#39;échantillon de 1 à 2 g sont nécessaires. Si les estimations initiales du poids de l&#39;échantillon utilisé sont incorrects, le dosage doit être répété. Faix et al. 8 ont développé une méthode qui a été modifié havant d&#39;aborder les questions de la méthode Nicolaides. La réaction est effectuée à 80 ° C pendant 2 heures, en augmentant ainsi le débit d&#39;échantillons. La pyridine a été remplacée par de la triéthanolamine, qui est une substance moins toxique. La taille de l&#39;échantillon peut être réduite à 100 à 150 mg. La triéthanolamine consomme de l&#39;HCl libéré, en conduisant la réaction à son terme et la triéthanolamine non consommée est titrée directement. Un titrage secondaire de l&#39;hydroxylamine est inutile. La comparaison de ces méthodes de titrage a montré que la méthode Nicolaides sous - estime de manière significative la teneur en carbonyle de la bio-huile 9. La méthode décrite ici a été modifié à partir de la méthode originale 8 pour être plus applicable à l&#39;analyse de pyrolyse bio-huiles. Cette méthode a été développée pour l&#39;analyse de pyrolyse brut bio-huiles, mais il a été appliqué avec succès à d&#39;autres types d&#39;huiles dérivés de la biomasse, y compris les bio-huiles hydrotraitées. Addinellement, cette méthode a été utilisée pour suivre l&#39;évolution de la teneur en carbonyle pendant à la fois le vieillissement et la mise à niveau.
