Godt matchet i størrelse, microfluidic enheter tilbyr unike fordeler for dette formålet som høy følsomhet, milde prøve manipulasjon og godt kontrollert mikro 4, 5, 6, 7. microfluidic platform with multiplexed electronic detection for spatial tracking of particles

Microfluidic behandling av biologiske prøver vanligvis innebærer differensial manipulasjoner av suspenderte partikler under ulike kraftfelt for å romlig fraksjonere prøven basert på en biologisk egenskap av interesse. Til den resulterende romlige fordeling som skal brukes som analyse avlesning, blir microfluidic anordninger ofte utsatt for mikroskopisk analyse krever komplisert instrumentering med høyere kostnader og redusert portabilitet. For å møte denne begrensningen, har vi utviklet en integrert elektronisk sensing teknologi for multiplex deteksjon av partikler på forskjellige steder på en microfluidic chip. Vår teknologi, kalt mikrofluid KODER, kombinerer Resistive Pulse Sensing med Kode Division Multiple Access til å komprimere 2D romlig informasjon i en 1D elektrisk signal. I denne artikkelen presenterer vi en praktisk demonstrasjon av mikrofluid KODER teknologi for å oppdage og størrelse dyrkede kreftceller fordelt over flere microfluidic kanaler. Somvalidert av høyhastighets mikroskopi, kan vår teknologi nøyaktig analysere tette cellepopulasjoner all elektronisk uten behov for en ekstern instrument. Som sådan kan microfluidic KODER potensielt gjøre det mulig lavkost integrerte lab-on-a-chip enheter som er godt egnet for point-of-care testing av biologiske prøver.

En mikrofluid KODER anordning som består av fire sensorer fordelt over fire microfluidic kanaler er vist i figur 1b.
