קינאזות חלבון הן אנזימים מתוחכמים קריטיים להעברת אותות סלולריים לתגובות הולמות 1 . בהתחשב בתפקידים שלהם בשמירה על הומאוסטזיס ומניעה או קידום של מצבי מחלה 2 , שיטות ביוכימיות להערכת פעילות קינאז ממשיכות להיות כלים רבי עוצמה לתיאור הפרטים של איתות אוקריוטי 3 . למרות אסטרטגיות ניצול נוגדנים ספציפיים phospho כבר אינפורמטיבי מאוד במונחים של מדידת ההשפעות של תנאי טיפול שונים על מצב איתות תא 4 , assay קינאז מאפשר למדוד את ההשפעות של תנאי טיפול שונים ישירות במונחים של פעילות אנזימטית של קינאז של ריבית. אמנם יש מספר אפשרויות עבור מבחני דומים שאינם משתמשים בחומרים רדיואקטיביים 5 , אנו ממשיכים להסתמך על שיטה זו quantitation חזק של תוצאות. שםהם שני יישומים טיפוסיים של assay זה, שניהם בעלי ערך מסיבות שונות: assay immunoprecipitated (IP) קינאז ( איור 1 ) ואת assay חלבון רקומביננטי קינאז ( איור 2 ).
