الصفائح الدموية هي اللاعبين الأساسيين في الارقاء، وتشكيل الجلطات لختم انتهاكات الأوعية الدموية. كما أنها تشارك في تخثر الدم، وتشكيل الجلطات التي تغلق الأوعية الدموية وجرح الأجهزة، مع عواقب تهدد الحياة. هذا يحفز البحث العلمي على وظيفة الصفائح الدموية وتطوير أساليب لتتبع العمليات البيولوجية الخلية كما تحدث في ظل ظروف التدفق. وهناك مجموعة متنوعة من نماذج التدفق المتاحة لدراسة التصاق الصفائح الدموية والتجميع، وهما الظواهر الرئيسية في البيولوجيا الصفائح الدموية. يصف هذا العمل طريقة لدراسة التحبيب الصفائح الدموية في الوقت الحقيقي تحت تدفق أثناء التنشيط. الأسلوب يجعل من استخدام غرفة تدفق إلى جانب إعداد مضخة حقنة التي يتم وضعها تحت حقل واسع، مقلوب، ليد المستندة إلى مضان المجهر. الإعداد الموصوفة هنا يسمح للإثارة في وقت واحد من فلوروفوريس متعددة التي يتم تسليمها من قبل الأجسام المضادة فلورزنتلي المسمى أو فلوريسكصبغات. بعد التجارب التصوير الخلية الحية، ونظارات غطاء يمكن معالجتها بشكل إضافي وتحليلها باستخدام المجهر ثابت ( أي المجهري متحد البؤر أو المجهر الإلكتروني المسح).
