血小板は、止血における重要な役割を果たし、血管侵害を封鎖するための血栓の形成である。それらは血栓症、脈管構造を閉塞させ、器官を傷つける血栓の形成にも関わり、生命を脅かす結果となる。これは、血小板機能に関する科学的研究と、フロー条件下で起こる細胞生物学的プロセスを追跡する方法の開発を促す。 血小板の生物学における2つの重要な現象である血小板の接着と凝集の研究には、さまざまなフローモデルが利用できます。この研究は、活性化の間の流れの下でのリアルタイム血小板脱顆粒を研究する方法を記載している。この方法は、広視野の逆LEDベースの蛍光顕微鏡の下に置かれたシリンジポンプ装置に連結されたフローチャンバを利用する。ここで説明する設定は、蛍光標識された抗体またはフルオレセインによって送達される複数のフルオロフォアの同時励起を可能にする染料。生細胞イメージング実験後、カバーガラスは、静的顕微鏡法（ すなわち、共焦点顕微鏡法または走査型電子顕微鏡法）を用いて、さらに処理および分析することができる。
