鍼治療の経口薬1、および神経電気刺激2は、痛みを伴う糖尿病性多発ニューロパチーの治療のために使用されています。ただし、経口薬、鍼灸、電気神経刺激による手術の副作用は、治療効果と患者の遵守を妨げます。何十年も3,4、5の動物モデルにおける末梢神経の超音波ブロックについて調べた。大規模な緑のカエルの坐骨神経の in vitroの伝導は 0.4 - 超音波照射の 10-20 パルス治療後可逆的に抑制された 1.0 秒6。神経の伝導をブロックする 1 つの要因7超音波による温度上昇であります。性多発ニューロパチー患者、2 分8の低強度超音波にさらされる腓骨神経の複合筋活動電位 (概念地図) の抑制を行った。完全復旧時間は 5 分以内だった。
