Dieses Papier stellt mehrere experimentelle Verfahren zur Herstellung von Mikrokugeln für WGM-Resonatoren aus konjugierten Polymeren in Lösung vor: Dampfdiffusion 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , Mini-Emulsion 31 und Grenzflächenausfällung 32 . Jede Methode hat einzigartige Eigenschaften; Beispielsweise liefert das Dampfdiffusionsverfahren gut definierte Mikrokugeln mit sehr hoher Sphärizität und glatten Oberflächen, aber nur niedermolekulare Polymere können diese Mikrokugeln bilden. Auf der anderen Seite, für die Mini-EmulsionVerfahren können verschiedene Arten von konjugierten Polymeren, einschließlich hochkristalliner Polymere, Sphären bilden, aber die Oberflächenmorphologie ist schlechter als diejenige, die aus dem Dampfdiffusionsverfahren erhalten wird. Das Grenzflächenpräzipitationsverfahren ist bevorzugt zur Herstellung von Mikrokügelchen aus farbstoffdotierten, nicht konjugierten Polymeren. In allen Fällen spielt die Auswahl des Lösungsmittels und des Nichtlösungsmittels eine wichtige Rolle bei der Bildung der sphärischen Morphologie. In der zweiten Hälfte dieses Aufsatzes werden μ-PL und Mikro-Manipulationstechniken vorgestellt. Für die μ-PL-Technik werden Mikrokugeln auf einem Substrat dispergiert und ein fokussierter Laserstrahl wird durch eine Mikroskoplinse verwendet, um eine einzelne isolierte Mikrosphäre 24 zu bestrahlen. Das erzeugte PL aus einer Kugel wird durch ein Spektrometer durch das Mikroskopobjektiv detektiert. Das Bewegen der Probenstufe kann die Position des Erregungspunktes variieren. Um die Lichtausbreitung und die Wellenlängenumwandlung zu untersuchen, kann die Mikromanipulationstechnik verwendet werden 32 . Um mehrere Mikrokugeln mit unterschiedlichen optischen Eigenschaften zu verbinden, ist es möglich, eine Kugel mit einer Mikronadel aufzunehmen und auf eine andere Kugel zu legen. In Verbindung mit den Mikromanipulationstechniken und dem μ-PL-Verfahren können verschiedene optische Messungen unter Verwendung von konjugierten Polymerkugeln durchgeführt werden, die durch ein einfaches Selbstorganisationsverfahren hergestellt werden. Dieses Videopapier wird für Leser nützlich sein, die weiche Polymermaterialien für optische Anwendungen verwenden möchten.

Dieses Papier beschreibt drei Verfahren zur Herstellung von fluoreszierenden Mikrokugeln, die π-konjugierte oder nicht-konjugierte Polymere umfassen: Dampfdiffusion, Grenzflächenausfällung und Minimulsion. Bei allen Verfahren werden gut definierte, mikrometergroße Kugeln aus einem Selbstorganisationsverfahren in Lösung erhalten. Das Dampfdiffusionsverfahren kann zu Kugeln mit der höchsten Sphärizität und Oberflächenglätte führen, doch sind die Typen der Polymere, die diese Sphären bilden können, begrenzt. Andererseits können in der Mini-Emulsionsmethode Mikrokügelchen aus verschiedenen Polymertypen hergestellt werden, auch aus hochkristallinen Polymeren mit coplanaren, π-konjugierten Grundgerüsten. Die photolumineszierenden (PL) -Eigenschaften von einzelnen isolierten Mikrokugeln sind ungewöhnlich: Die PL ist innerhalb der Kugeln eingeschlossen, breitet sich am Umfang der Kugeln über die gesamte interne Reflexion an der Polymer / Luft-Grenzfläche aus und stört sich selbst, um scharfe und periodische Resonanz zu zeigen PL-Linien. Diese ResonatinG-Modi sind sogenannte &quot;flüsternde Galeriemodi&quot; (WGMs). Diese Arbeit zeigt, wie man WGM PL aus einzelnen isolierten Sphären mithilfe der Mikro-Photolumineszenz (μ-PL) -Technik messen kann. Bei dieser Technik bestrahlt ein fokussierter Laserstrahl eine einzelne Mikrosphäre und die Lumineszenz wird durch ein Spektrometer detektiert. Eine Mikromanipulationstechnik wird dann verwendet, um die Mikrokugeln einzeln zu verbinden und die Zwischensphäre-PL-Ausbreitung und Farbumwandlung von gekoppelten Mikrokugeln bei Anregung am Umfang einer Kugel und Erkennung von PL von der anderen Mikrosphäre zu demonstrieren. Diese Techniken, μ-PL und Mikromanipulation, sind für Experimente zur mikrooptischen Applikation unter Verwendung von Polymermaterialien geeignet.

Fig. 1 zeigt schematische Darstellungen des Dampfdiffusionsverfahrens (a), des Mini-Emulsionsverfahrens (b) und des Grenzpräzipitationsverfahrens (c).
