الدوبامين (DA) ناقل عصبي مودولاتوري السيطرة على النشاط الحركي ومكافأة العمليات والوظائف المعرفية. ضعف كبيرة تتميز (دايرجيك) يرتبط ارتباطاً قويا بالعديد من الأمراض المرتبطة بالجهاز العصبي المركزي مثل مرض باركنسون، واضطراب نقص الانتباه-العجز-فرط النشاط وإدمان المخدرات1،2 ،،من34. تحديد آليات الأمراض التي تنطوي على خلل دا يتوقف بصورة حاسمة على نماذج حيوانية تحاكي جوانب الأمراض، وهكذا البروتوكولات التي تقييم أجزاء معينة من التوازن دا مهم لتقديم رؤى جديدة وممكن العلاجية أهدافا لهذه الأمراض.
