L’étape la plus critique au sein du protocole est la mono-alkylphosphinic synthèse de l’acide (Figure 1a). Dans cette réaction, un rendement plus élevé et moins sous-produit acide dialkylphosphinic est mieux. Augmenter le ratio molaire de NaH2PO2/olefin A améliorera le rendement et inhibent la production de sous-produit acide dialkylphosphinic. Acides extractants organophosphorés sont largement utilisés dans le domaine de l’hydrométallurgie traditionnel pour l’extraction et la séparation des ions de terres rares1,2, métaux non ferreux (comme Co/Ni3,4), (métaux rares tels que Hf/Zr5, V6,,7), actinides8, etc.. Ces dernières années, ils ont aussi attiré plus d’attention dans les domaines de ressources secondaires recyclage et élimination des déchets liquides haut niveau9. Di-(2-éthylhexyle) acide phosphorique (D2EHPA ou P204), 2-ethylhexylphosphoric acide mono-2-éthylhexyl ester (EHEHPA, PC 88 a ou P507) et Di-(2, 4, 4'-triméthyl2)-acide phosphinique (Cyanex272), qui sont les représentants d’acides dialkylphosphoric, alkylphosphoric acide mono-alkyl esters et acides dialkylphosphinic sont respectivement les extractants plus couramment utilisés. Leur acidité diminue dans l’ordre suivant : P204 &#62; P507 &#62; Cyanex 272. La capacité d’extraction correspondantes, la capacité de désenfumage et acidité décapage sont tous dans l’ordre P204 &#62; P507 &#62; Cyanex 272 et la performance de séparation est dans l’ordre inverse. Ces trois extractants sont efficaces dans la plupart des cas. Toutefois, il existe encore certaines conditions où ils ne sont pas si efficaces : séparation des terres rares lourdes, dont les principaux problèmes actuels sont la faible sélectivité et la forte acidité de décapage pour P204 et P507, faible capacité d’extraction et tendance de l’émulsion lors de l’extraction pour Cyanex 272. Ainsi, le développement de nouveaux extractants a attiré l’attention plus grande ces dernières années.
La classe des extractants acides dialkylphosphinic est considéré comme l’un des aspects de recherche plus importants pour développer de nouveaux extractants. Des recherches récentes ont montré que la capacité d’extraction d’acides dialkylphosphinic dépend en grande partie de la structure de l’alkyl substituant10,11. Il peut être un large éventail de significativement supérieur à celui de P507 à plus faible que celle du Cyanex 27212. Cependant, l’exploration de nouveaux dialkylphosphinic extractants acides se limite à l’oléfine commercial structure10,12,13,14,15, 16. Bien que dialkylphosphinic extractants acides peut aussi être synthétisé par la méthode de la réaction de Grignard, les conditions de réaction sont rigoureux12,17.
NSDAPA, dont les deux alcoyles sont différents, ouvre la voie à l’exploration de nouveaux extractants. Il rend les structures de l’acide dialkylphosphinic plus diversifiés, et son rendement d’extraction et de séparation peut être affiné en modifiant les deux de ses structures d’alkyle. Le procédé de synthèse traditionnels de NSDAPA utilisé PH3 comme une source de phosphore, qui a beaucoup d’inconvénients comme une toxicité élevée, les conditions de réaction rigoureuse et purification difficile. Récemment, nous avons rapporté une nouvelle méthode pour synthétiser des NSDAPA à l’aide d’hypophosphite de sodium comme un phosphore source (voir Figure 1) et synthétisé avec succès trois NSDAPAs18. Ce protocole détaillé peut aider les nouveaux praticiens répéter les expériences et à maîtriser le procédé de synthèse des extractants NSDAPA. Nous prenons (2,3-butyl) (2, 4, 4'-triméthyl2) acide phosphinique à titre d’exemple. Les noms et les structures d’oléfine A, l’acide mono-alkylphosphinic intermédiaire, oléfine B et le NSDAPA correspondant sont indiqués dans le tableau 1.

synthesis of high purity nonsymmetric dialkylphosphinic acid extractants

Nous présentons la synthèse de (2, 3-butyl) (2, 4, 4'-triméthyl2) acide phosphinique comme un exemple de démonstration d’une méthode de synthèse de haute pureté non symétrique dialkylphosphinic extractants acides. Hypophosphite de sodium toxique faible a été choisie comme la source de phosphore réagit avec oléfine un (2,3-diméthylbut-1-ène) pour générer un acide monoalkylphosphinic intermédiaire. L’amantadine est adopté pour enlever le sous-produit acide de dialkylphosphinic, tel qu’il est seulement l’acide monoalkylphosphinic peut réagir avec l’amantadine pour former un sel d’acide amantadine∙mono-alkylphosphinic, tandis que l’acide dialkylphosphinic ne peut pas réagir avec l’amantadine due à sa grande gêne stérique. L’acide monoalkylphosphinic purifié réagit ensuite avec oléfine B (diisobutylene) pour obtenir l’acide dialkylphosphinic non symétrique (NSDAPA). L’acide monoalkylphosphinic n’a pas réagi peut être enlevé facilement par un simple post-traitement acide-base et autres impuretés organiques peuvent être séparées par la précipitation du sel de cobalt. La structure de la (2,3-butyl) (2, 4, 4'-triméthyl2) acide phosphinique a été confirmée par NMR 31P, RMN 1H, ESI-MS et instrument FT-IR. La pureté est déterminée par une méthode par titrage potentiométrique, et les résultats indiquent que la pureté peut dépasser les 96 %.
