GtfC 와 gtfB 에 의해 glucosyltransferases cariogenic 치과 biofilm 개발5,6에 기여 한다. 야생-타입의 biofilm 형성 능력 스트레인 (S. mutans WT), gtfC-스트레인 (S. mutans ΔgtfC), 및 gtfB중단-방해 스트레인 (S. mutans ΔgtfB) 평가 했다 대 한 비교 phenotypic 분석. 이 프로토콜 추가 종 유전자 장애에 대 한 2 단계 방법의 응용 프로그램을 확장 하 고 taxa의 넓은 범위에서 유전자 기능 연구에 대 한 수정할 수 있습니다.
