Bioabsorbable stenter og dyre modeller I de seneste år været den generelle tendens i medicin fra permanente implantater, (som er tilbage i patientens krop for resten af deres liv) at bio-resorberbare materialer. Subaraknoidal blødning på grund af en bristet intrakraniel aneurisme er forbundet med en høj dødelighed og fattige neurologiske udfald i mange overlevende. Den konstante progess i angrebsformål af teknikker til rådighed for endovaskulære behandling af intrakranielle aneurismer kræver overkommelige og reproducable eksperimentelle dyremodeller for at teste roman embolisering materialer såsom stents og flow omdirigeringsmaskiner. Formålet med nærværende projekt var at designe en sikker, hurtig, og standardiseret kirurgisk teknik for stent bistået embolisering af saccular aneurismer i en rotte dyremodel.
Saccular aneurismer blev oprettet fra en arteriel graft fra den nedadgående aorta. Aneurismer blev microsurgically transplanteret gennem ende-til-side anastomose til infrarenal abdominal aorta en syngenic mandlige Wistar rotter vejer > 500 g. Efter aneurisme anastomose, aneurisme embolisering blev udført ved hjælp af ballon udvides magnesium stents (2,5 mm x 6 mm). Stent system blev retrograd indført fra lavere abdominal aorta ved hjælp af en modificeret Seldinger teknik.
Efter en pilot række 6 dyr, i alt 67 rotter blev drevet efter etableret standardprocedurer. Betyde kirurgi tid, gennemsnitlige anastomose tid og betyder suturering tid af arterie punktering site var 167 ± 22 min., 26 ± 6 min og 11 ± 5 min, henholdsvis. Dødeligheden var 6% (n = 4). Den sygelighed var 7,5% (n = 5), og i-stent trombose blev fundet i 4 tilfælde (n = 2 tidligt, n = 2 sent i stent trombose).
