תינוקות עם פיגור גדילה תוך רחמי ההגבלה (IUGR) (המכונה גם הגבלת צמיחה עוברית) (משקל לידה < אחוזון 10בתאנון לגיל ההיריון), לידה לידה מוקדמת (נולד ב- < בשבוע ה-37 של ההיריון), ו/או נמוך הלידה משקל (< 2500 גרם) חשבון עבור כמעט 10% של ילודים כל 2,3. הרבה תינוקות אלה להציג בעיות נוירולוגיות כגון שיתוק מוחין, הפרעות התפתחותיות (כגון: הפרעת תשומת לב-קשב/היפראקטיביות (ADHD) והפרעות למידה) 3,4,5. תנאים אלה יש קווי דמיון והבדלים שלהם אטיולוגיה, תוצאות. האטיולוגיה של IUGR multifactorial, אי ספיקה היפרדות המשויך זילוח תוך רחמי נחשבת הגורם השכיח ביותר ב העוברים שאינו חריג 7. האטיולוגיה של לידה מוקדמת multifactorial גם כן, chorioamnionitis הוא הגורם השכיח ביותר 8.
השפעת זילוח מתון תוך רחמי (MIUH) על המוח המתפתח לא ברור. כיום זמינים מודלים חייתיים של זילוח תוך רחמי/איסכמיה כרוך בעיקר זילוח חמורה או מעבר צבע מידת זילוח עם או בלי פגיעה reperfusion 9,10,11. הגדרות קליני, עם זאת, מקרים של MIUH נחשבים להיות תכופים יותר מאשר אלה מעורבים בתנאים קשים. כל דגמי MIUH זמין כעת הם מודל מכרסמים הכרוכים בתפר מצדו או את הרחם העורק השחלות, או דוגמנית מכרסמים מעורבים מסיכה העורקים השחלות דו צדדיים של אבי העורקים נתקל patency 12,13, 14,15,16,17. אחד החסרונות של מודלים אלה הוא ההשתנות העובר בין נרחב, החל עוברים עם זילוח עמוקה עוברים עם זלוף כמעט שלם, בהתאם התנוחה של העובר בתוך עורקי ארקייד של הרחם ואת העורקים השחלות. חיסרון נוסף של מודלים אלה הוא היכולת שלהם להבחין בין המיקום של כל העובר לאחר הלידה; לפיכך, חוקרים לא יכול להבחין בין חומרת זילוח תוך רחמי מנוסים על ידי הגור בודדים לאחר הלידה שלה.
פיתחנו מודל עכברוש של MIUH מעורבים היצרות עורק מספר 1. גלישת מיקרו-סלילי מתכת בקוטר הפנימי 0.24 מ מ סביב השחלות ואת הרחם העורקים גורמת היצרות, אבל לא חסימה, של כלי הדם (איור 1). החלת אלה מפוליויניל על החלקים הפרוקסימלית של כל העורקים ויישם את הרחם, קרי, העורקים הרחם ואת השחלות דו צדדיים, ביום עובריים 17 (שקול ל- 20-25 שבועות עובריים בני 18) מעניקה ירידה משמעותית אך מתון זרימת הדם מאחד לשני, העוברים. ירידות זרימת הדם לאחר סלילי יוחלו על כל העורקים לארבעה האכלה הרחם זהים במידה רבה על פני כל השליה לעובר. שיעור התמותה העובר הוא פחות מ- 20%. הגורים נולדים דרך העבודה ספונטני 1-2 ימים מוקדם יותר (היום עובריים 21-22) יותר מהרגיל. כמעט כל הגורים נולדים מפגין משקל לידה נמוך באופן משמעותי 1. אמצעי אחסון חומר אפור ולבן הם ירד בלי ברור רקמת נזק 1. הגורים להציג עם רכישת מושהית של היילוד רפלקסים, חולשת שרירים, פעילות ספונטנית שינו 1. מודל זה מחקה את הסימנים הקליניים ואת הסימפטומים של ילדים שנולדו פגים או עם IUGR; התערוכה לידה מוקדמת נולד ילדים מופחתת אפור, חומר לבן עם או בלי חומר לבן פציעה 6, נוכח מושהית אבני דרך של התפתחות נוירולוגית, ונפח עשוי להציג בעיות התנהגותיות כגון ADHD 3,5; ילדים עם IUGR התערוכה שינויים neuroanatomical מינימלי, יש סיכון מוגבר להתפתחות נוירולוגית לקוי כגון עיכוב מוטוריות קוגניטיביות 4,7. לידה לידה מוקדמת ו IUGR מצבים שונים, אך שני תנאים חולק המנגנון הבסיסי, כלומר עלבונות על מוח ילדותי לפני גיל הריון מלא לטווח.

זילוח תוך רחמי/איסכמיה הוא אחד הגורמים העיקריים של פיגור גדילה תוך רחמי/העובר, לידה לידה מוקדמת, משקל לידה נמוך. רוב המחקרים של תופעה זו בוצעו גם דגמים עם איסכמיה תוך רחמי חמורה או מודלים בדרגת ההדרגתיות זילוח תוך רחמי. אף מחקר בוצעה בדוגמנית על זילוח תוך רחמי קלה אחיד (MIUH). שני דגמים שימשו מחקרים של MIUH: מודל המבוסס על התפר מצדו של צדי ארקייד עורקי הקים עם העורקים הרחם ואת השחלות, ולפי מודל ארעי מסיכה העורקים השחלות דו צדדיים של אבי העורקים שיש patency. אלה שני מודלים מכרסם של MIUH יש כמה מגבלות, למשל, לא כל העוברים נחשפים אל MIUH, בהתאם למיקום שלהם בהקרן הרחם. במודל שלנו MIUH ', כל העוברים נחשפים לרמה המקבילה של זילוח תוך רחמי.
