Histon translasyonel modifikasyonlar (PTMs), metilasyon, fosforilasyon ve asetilasyon gibi dinamik olarak bir dizi hücre tarafından alınan sinyaller yanıt olarak bu işaretleri ekleyip enzimler tarafından düzenlenmektedir.
