Toeprinting היא שיטת המחקר של RNA מבנה ותפקוד כפי שהוא נוגע תרגום חניכה. המטרה של toeprinting היא להעריך את היכולת של במבחנה עיבד RNA ליצירת קומפלקסים יציבים עם הריבוזומים תחת מגוון תנאים, על מנת לקבוע אילו רצפים, אלמנטים מבניים או אביזר גורמים מעורבים ריבוזום איגוד — שלפני הסמן לטקס החניכה תרגום יעיל. לצד טכניקות אחרות, כגון ניתוח המערב והגדרת פרופיל polysome, toeprinting מאפשרת אפיון חזקים של מנגנוני ויסות תרגום חניכה.
