murine distal colostomy, a novel model of diversion colitis in c57bl/6 mice

Omledning colitis (DC) er en hyppig kliniske tilstand forekommer hos patienter med tarmkræft segmenter udelukket fra fecal strøm som følge af en omdirigere enterostomy. Ætiologien af denne sygdom er stadig uklare, men synes at adskiller sig fra klassisk inflammatoriske tarmsygdomme som Crohns sygdom og colitis ulcerosa. Forskning har til formål at dechifrere de patofysiologiske mekanismer fører til udviklingen af denne sygdom er blevet alvorligt hæmmet af manglen på en passende murine model. Denne protokol genererer en murine model af DC, der letter studiet af immunsystemets rolle og dens samspil med microbiome i udviklingen af DC. Kirurgi er veltolereret både i eksperimentelle (kolostomi) og humbug (colotomy). Perioperative dødelighed bør ikke overstige 10%, når kirurgi og perioperative forvaltning udføres korrekt.
