שליטה במקרה נערך מחקר מ 2014 באוגוסט ועד יוני 2015-המחלקה למיילדות וגניקולוגיה של החולים הקליני של האוניברסיטה "Virgen de la Arrixaca' באזור מורסיה (דרום-מזרח ספרד). המקרים היו נשים מעל גיל 40 המבקשים טיפול גושים באברי המין. אם אבא היה אישר הבדיקה הגינקולוגית מסווגים שלב II או יותר על ידי סיווג פופ-Q20, נשים הוזמנו להשתתף, ללא קשר תא המושפע (, האמצעי או האחוריים). נשים עם מתח בריחת הדורשת טיפול כירורגי היו לא נכלל. פקדים היו נשים בגיל דומה המבקשים בחינות הגינקולוגית שגרתית עם רצפת האגן המחלה וגם תנאים הגינקולוגית אחרים כגון מחלת adnexal או מיומה. הקריטריונים אי-כלילה עבור מקרים והפקדים מהתקיפות: ניתוח מתקן הקודם רצפת האגן מחלות או זיהומים בדרכי השתן; גידול פעיל שמשנה את המכניקה ואת biometry של רצפת האגן; זיהום פעיל דרכי anogenital חיצוניים; טחורים חיצוניים. נשים לאחר ליקוי גינקולוגיות מניעת הרופאים לוקחים את המידות היו גם לא נכלל. היסטוריה מלאה הגינקולוגית, ונסיון בוצעה כולל נוסחות החודשי ואת להיריון (זוגיות, הנרתיק, מעקב משלוחים ו- birthweight) כמו גם ההיסטוריה רפואי וכירורגי, ו- BMI. נשים נחקרו על הסימפטומים של פופ ו/או בריחת שתן באמצעות שאלונים ICIQ-F24 Sandvik חומרת מדד25.
