Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen betreffen Millionen von Menschen jedes Jahr und die Häufigkeit nimmt mit einer alternden Bevölkerung1. Während jeder Neurodegenerative Erkrankung hat eine einzigartige Ätiologie, zeichnen Aggregation fehlgefaltete Proteine und Aufschlüsselung des proteostase Netzwerks gemeinsame pathologische viele dieser Krankheiten. Erläuterung, wie die Störung dieser grundlegenden und zusammenhängende Prozesse schief geht ist als Beitrag zu neuronalen Dysfunktion und Zelle Tod entscheidend für Verständnis neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen sowie therapeutische Interventionen führen. Mit der steigenden Verbreitung von neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen ist es zunehmend wichtig, die zugrunde liegende Pathophysiologie zu verstehen, die zu neuronalen Dysfunktion und Verlust führt.
