L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) היא חומצת אמינו נמצאו ביוסינטזה של catecholamines, בעלי חיים וצמחים. בשל תכונותיו הביוכימי מסוים, חומצת אמינו ביותר יש שימושים מרובות יישומים ביוכימיים. הדו ח מתאר פרוטוקול עבור שיתוף גנטי biosynthesized DOPA ויישומו חלבון ההטיה.
