mpd 推进器以相对较高的推力密度和较高的比脉冲1,2,3而闻名。然而, mpd 推进器的典型推力效率 1相对较低, 特别是在惰性气体推进剂 4,5,6。对于大多数 mpd 推进器, 推进剂流量的一部分从阳极和阴极7, 8 之间的缝隙注入排放室, 结果是径向分量占总排放量的很大比例。然而, 为了产生推力, 径向动力学效应需要转换为轴向动力学运动与物理喷嘴或磁性喷嘴。因此, 新设计的 mpd 推进器的一个关键特征是所有推进剂都是通过阴极提供的, 它可以起到抑制径向放电的作用;这样, 轴向能量的比例就可以增加。还有一个额外的效果, 即在阳极周围的等离子体中的霍尔参数可以通过减少阳极周围的数字密度来增加, 从而加强霍尔加速度分量9。由于推进剂靠近阴极内部表面, 在这种注入模式下发射大量初始电子, 因此可以大大提高推进剂的电离速率。此外, 阳极长度最小化, 减少了壁极等离子体连接面积, 减少了阳极功率沉积10,11。当应用发散阳极时, 这将减小阳极与磁场线之间的角度, 进一步减小阳极功率沉积.
尽管上述优点是提高性能, 但阴极注入的完整推进剂供应会增加阳极饥饿的风险, 从而导致 "发病" 现象14。为了抑制这种行为, 我们将阴极收回到阳极的底部。然后, 电子可以在离开阳极出口之前在径向方向充分扩散, 这将起到缓解阳极饥饿的作用。此外, 还采用了多通道空心阴极;与单通道空心阴极相比, 多通道空心阴极可以增加电子发射面积, 使推进剂的分布更加均匀。通过这种修改, 推进器的寿命和稳定性都可以增加15、16、17.
推进器的设计功率为 100千瓦, 在稳态运行下需要一个冷却结构。在目前的实验室实验中, 采用了一种高效的水冷结构。然而, 要评估 mpd 推进器设计的性能, 获得推力至关重要。随着高压水系统的应用, 在这种冷却过程中会产生强烈的振动, 如果我们使用传统的推力测量, 会产生很大的干扰。因此, 采用目标推力支架来测量推力。
mpd 推进器
如图 1所示, mpd 推进器由阳极、阴极和绝缘体组成。阳极由具有圆柱形发散喷嘴的铜制成, 其最小内径为60毫米。阳极的内壁周围有一个 s 形的冷却通道。通道的入口和出口位于阳极的顶部, 由挡板隔开。采用细长铜块连接阳极和电缆。该结点位于阳极的外表面。
阴极材料是钽钨, 有九个推进剂通道。阴极的外径为16毫米。阴极的冷却是通过阴极基座周围的水冷支架实现的。支架内有一个环形通道。冷水从底部注入支架, 并从顶部流出。阴极左侧有一个空心阴极连接器。推进剂流经连接器的中心, 进入空心阴极室;阴极基座内有一个大空腔, 连接9个狭窄的圆柱形通道。空腔起到缓冲的作用, 以增加推进剂在九个通道中的分布的均匀性。阴极用环形铜块连接到电缆上, 该铜块安装在阴极连接器周围。
除了推进器的主体外, 还需要一个外部磁线圈来产生 af-mpd 推进器中的机构场;磁场提供了一个收敛发散磁场, 以加速等离子体与电场的结合。现场线圈由288圈圆形铜管组成, 既是电流通道, 也是冷却水通道。线圈的内径为150毫米, 外径为500毫米。中心的最高场强为 0.25 t, 电流为 230 a。
实验系统
实验系统包括六个子系统。实验系统总体布局的示意图如图 2所示;真空室内推进器的布局如图 3所示。
首先, 真空系统为推进器的运行提供了必要的真空环境, 由一个真空室、两个机械泵、一个分子泵和四个低温泵组成。室的直径为3米, 长度为5米。当 (氩) 推进剂的流速不超过 40 mgs 时, 环境压力可保持在 0.01 pa 以下。
其次, 该源系统提供高压脉冲来点燃推进器, 为推进器提供加速等离子体的功率, 并为磁场线圈提供维持外部磁场的动力。电源系统由点火电源、推进器电源、线圈电源和电缆组成。点火电源可提供8千伏或15千伏的放电电压。推进器电源提供高达 1000 a 的直流电。线圈电源提供高达 240 a 的直流电。
第三, 推进剂供应系统为推进器提供气体推进剂。该系统主要包括气源、质量流量控制器和供气管道。
第四个子系统是水冷系统, 它提供冷却的高压水, 以交换推进器、磁圈和电源的热量。如图 4所示, 该系统由泵组、水箱、冰箱、供水管道和泵控制器组成。真空室内的非导电管道为推进器和磁线圈提供冷却水终端, 并确保阳极、阴极和地面之间的电气绝缘。
采集控制系统可以记录其他系统的信号测量推进器运行条件和控制运行情况。它由三台计算机及相应的软件、数据采集卡和电缆组成。
如图 5所示, 目标推力支架由板目标、细梁、位移传感器、支撑架、轴向可移动平台和径向可移动平台组成。目标可以拦截推动目标的等离子体。目标的位移可以通过放置在目标后面的传感器来测量, 这样就可以对推力18 进行评估。

本协议的目标是介绍100千瓦级应用场磁质动力学推进器的设计及相关实验方法。磁质动力推进器，即MPD推进器，是一个典型的电动加速器。它是众所周知的高特定脉冲和高推进器密度，并被视为我们的主要推进器在我们的未来高功率空间任务的主要候选。在这篇文章中，我们将介绍一个100千瓦级应用场MPD推进器的设计，必要的实验系统，以举行一个相对推进器实验和操作步骤来完成这个实验。推力器设计。推进器主要由阳极、阴极和绝缘体组成。阳极由铜制成，带气缸发散喷嘴，最小内径为60毫米。阴极由钨钨建造，有9个推进剂通道，外径为16毫米。左侧有一个空心阴极连接器。推进剂流过连接器的中心并到达空心阴极。阴极基座内有一个大腔，连接有九个圆柱形通道。腔体起到缓冲作用，以提高推进剂分布在九个通道中的均匀性。阴极连接到电缆与环形铜块，这是安装在阴极连接器周围。除了推进器的主体外，外部磁线圈也是MPD推进器工作所必需的。线圈由288圈圆形铜管组成，作为电流和冷却水的通道。线圈的内径为150毫米，外径为500毫米。中央的最高场力是0.25 telsa。实验系统。实验系统为实验提供了必要的条件，实验主要包括六个子系统。首先，真空系统为推进器提供了必要的真空环境。房间的直径是三米，而长度是两米。环境压力可保持0.01帕斯卡以下。其次，电源系统。电源系统由点火电源、推进器电源、线圈电源和电缆组成。点火电源可提供 8 千伏或 15 千伏放电电压。推进器电源提供高达 1，000 安培的直流。线圈电源提供高达 240 安培的直流电流。第三个是推进剂供应系统，为推进器提供气体推进剂。该系统主要包括气源、质量流速控制器和供气管道。第四是水冷却系统，它提供高压水来交换推进器、磁线圈和电源的额外热量。然后是采集和控制系统，它可以记录推进器运行条件的信号，并控制其他系统。最后一个是目标推力测量系统，可用于测量推力。目标推力支架主要由板目标、细长光束、位移传感器、支撑架、轴向可移动平台和无线电可移动平台组成。等离子体可以被目标拦截，目标将被等离子体推。目标的位移可以通过放置在目标后面的传感器进行测量。这样，我们可以评估推力。准备实验。安装推进器。在洁净的房间里用酒精擦拭推进器的部件。将阳极与绝缘体组装。将阴极、阴极支架和阴极连接器汇集在一起。将阴极零件添加到阳极零件。将中间接头安装到组合中，用螺钉固定。用叉车在实验平台上建立线圈座。将实验平台放在真空室的导轨上。将推进器安装在线圈上。将阳极和阴极与相应的电缆连接。将磁线圈与线圈电源连接。将水冷却管和推进剂供应管与推进器连接。将水冷却管与线圈连接。将可移动平台安装在室内，并固定其上的推力支架的主体。调整可移动平台的位置，使推进器的中心线与目标相互认输。然后，我们合作的推力站。首先，在协作装置上加载不同的重量，并记录推力支架的相应输出。重复此过程至少三次。然后根据校准数据计算推力支架的弹性系数。真空吸尘室。关上房间的门。启动机械泵。当腔室的背景压力低于五帕斯卡时，启动分子泵。当腔室中的背景压力低于 0.05 pascal 时，启动低温泵。等待压力达到 10 到负 4 pascal 的力量。点火和推力测量实验。如果推进器暴露在空气中，我们需要预热推进器。开始记录信号。将推进剂质量流速设置为 40 毫克，并至少供应 20 分钟。打开冷却水供应。将阳极和阴极水冷却泵的工作频率设置为 10 赫兹。将推力支架移动到远离推进器的位置。使用线圈电流为 90 安培打开线圈电源。在放电电流为 240 安培时打开推进器电源。打开点火电源。使推进器工作至少五分钟。关闭推进器电源和推进剂供应。停止重新编码。预热后，我们可以进行推力测量。将推力支架从推进器移动到 550 毫米的位置。开始记录信号。启动推进剂供应。用 90 安培线圈电流和 240 安培放电电流点燃推进器。将线圈电流增加至 90 安培。随后，将放电电流增加至800安培。然后将线圈电流增加至230安培。当推力支架的输出变得稳定时，关闭推进器。停止供应推进剂。停止重新编码。代表性结果。在实验中，控制放电电流、推进剂质量流速和应用磁场。然后测量放电电压和推力值，在此基础上获得功率、特定脉冲和推力效率等性能参数。图中显示了放电电压的典型信号。打开电源后，推进器上将采用高电压来分解中性推进剂。点火后，电压趋势为恒定值，基本保持不变。然后我们可以说点火成功。图中显示了典型的推力测量结果。我们开始记录推进器支架在推进剂供应之前的信号，该推进剂被视为零推进点。供应推进剂后会有轻微的推力。点火后，将有一个大的振荡。然后推力趋向于一个稳定值。由于目标的热变形，将发生零漂移，其值为 50 毫纽顿。漂移引起的误差不超过 1% 图显示了半小时继续工作期间的放电特性。我们认为，推进器在点火后会迅速稳定状态，在此期间电压非常稳定。图显示了实验前和实验后钨空心阴极的外观变化。实验总时间超过10小时。我们可以在阴极的外表面找到均匀分布的轻微侵蚀，这意味着推进器具有工作时间超过10小时的潜力。在继续工作测试后，我们探索了推进器在50至100千瓦功率范围内的性能。最佳性能为99.5千瓦，推力为3，052毫纽顿。具体脉冲为4，359秒，推力效率为67%值得注意的是，当推进器达到最佳性能时，背景压力为0.2帕斯卡。由于高压的影响，测量性能可能高于实际值。测试仪由钨钨制造，显示操作阻力。燃气功率为100千瓦，推力为3050毫微，具体脉冲为4300秒，效率为67%
