2人以上の脳活動を同時に測定することにより、社会的相互作用の根底にある神経生物学的メカニズムに光を当てることができます。機能的近赤外分光法(fNIRS)は、高いサンプリングレートで脳血行力応答を測定し、比較的自然な設定で適用できるため、このようなハイパースキャン実験を行う場合に適しています。このプロトコルは、成人と子供のダイアドの同時fNIRS録音を行う方法を示していますが、ロマンチックなパートナーなどの異なるダイアディック星座や異なる実験タスクに適応することができます。まず、参加者の頭囲と同じサイズまたはわずかに大きいキャップ サイズを選択します。直径約15ミリメートルの穴を15個カットし、2つの生のEEGキャップのそれぞれの額面積に水平3×5のグリッドに配置します。穴の中央の列が額の中央に配置されていることを確認し、穴は、任意の方向に互いに 30 ミリメートル間隔を置きます。キャップをより快適にし、圧力マークを最小限に抑えるために、プローブソケットとエッジの間のホルダーグリッドの内側に柔らかい泡材料を取り付けます。次に、空の3対5のプローブホルダーグリッドを、ホルダグリッド自体がキャップの内側に配置され、ホルダーソケットが穴に貼り付くように、変更されたEEGキャップのそれぞれに取り付けます。次に、グリッド上の適切なホルダーソケットにプローブをそっと挿入し、各プローブの最初のリッジのみがソケットに取り付けられ、1つのクリック音が聞こえます。最寄りの測定システムでプローブセットモニターウィンドウを開き、参加する子供用と大人用の3~5グリッドに配置された2つのプローブセットを選択します。2 つのキャップのプローブ配置がプローブセットウィンドウの配置に対応していることを確認します。次に、測定の30分前に、システムが安定した動作温度に達するように、最も近い測定システムのレーザーダイオードをオンにします。必要なオプションをすべて、最も近い測定システムで設定します。デバイスがイベント関連の測定に設定されていること、および実験パラダイムからトリガを受信するために必要な RS232 シリアル入力がアクティブであることを確認します。次に、精神物理学ツールボックス拡張のベースとなる技術計算ソフトウェアを起動し、現在のディレクトリをパラダイムが保存されているフォルダに設定して、実験的なパラダイムを準備します。最後に、実験中に頭の動きを防ぐために、コンピュータ画面の前に2つの顎の休息を置きます。まず、2人の参加者を試験室にエスコートし、実験的なセットアップを説明します。次に、参加者をコンピュータ画面の前に隣り合って座ります。両参加者が快適に座るような顎の高さを調整します。協力と競争の両方のゲームの指示を提供し、実践トライアルを管理します。次に、各参加者の頭の鼻とイニオンの間の距離の10%である10-20システムに従ってFpzポイントを測定し、マークします。次にレーザーの電源を切り、プローブを使用してキャップを慎重に参加者の頭に置きます。下段の中央のプローブがFpzに配置され、中央のプローブ列が矢状参照曲線に沿って位置合わせされていることを確認します。最も近い測定システムに取り付けられたホルダー・アームにファイバー・ストリングを置き、参加者または椅子に接触することなく緩やかにハングアップし、キャップを引っ張らないようにします。次に、プローブケーシングの上部の中央にある小さな白い鼻が見えるまで、各プローブをさらにソケットに押し込みます。次に、レーザーを再びオンにし、最寄りの測定システムのプローブセットモニタウィンドウの[自動ゲイン]ボタンをクリックして信号品質をテストします。チャンネルが黄色でマークされている場合、信号が不十分な場合は、周囲のプローブチップの下に髪をそっと脇に置きます。プローブを調整し、もう一度[自動ゲイン]ボタンをクリックして、信号品質が改善されているか、緑色でマークされているかどうかを確認します。信号の品質が満足できる場合は、参加者の手の上にタオルを置き、それぞれのゲームパートナーの手の動きを見ることができません。次に、実験を開始します。次に、実験が完了したら、データを保存し、テキストファイルアウトボタンをクリックして、生光強度データをテキストファイルとしてエクスポートします。最後に、プローブ、プローブホルダー、顎をエスノールで洗い、キャップを中性洗剤で洗います。脳と脳の同期の尺度として、ウェーブレットの一貫性は、相互作用する被験者のfNIRS信号間で計算される。ウェーブレットのコヘレンス係数は、青、ほとんどまたは全くコヘレンス、赤、強いまたは最大の一貫性を意味する色マップを使用して視覚化されます。結果は、被験者の心臓リズムから生じる可能性が高い約1秒の期間の長さまで、高周波帯の実験全体で強い一貫性を示す。さらに、2 秒と 8 秒の期間の長さの間の低い周波数帯で強い一貫性が現れます。この低周波数域におけるコヘレンスは、タスク中の両方の被験者の脳活動の同期を反映している可能性が高い。この手順を試みる際には、キャップが参加者の頭に正しく置かれていることを再確認し、良好な信号品質を確保することが重要です。その開発後、この技術は、社会神経科学の分野の研究者が様々な異なるタスクで脳と脳の同期を探求する道を開き、行動相関性と個人の特性とその関係との関連を調べる。
