溶媒を必要とせずに、ポリ(硫黄-ジビニルベンゼン)を90°Cで動的硫黄結合を用いて重合を開始する方法を開発しました。これは、摂氏160度を超える温度を必要とする従来の方法よりも大幅に低いです。重合温度を下げると、逆加硫によってポリスルフィドに組み込むことができるモノマーの範囲が広がる。これにより、可能な材料の特性と可能な用途が拡大します。逆加硫は、他の用途の中で水銀や油の吸着剤として、赤外線透明レンズとして、硫化リチウム電池に使用されているポリ硫化物を生産しています。この方法は、新しい材料の開発と、おそらく追加のアプリケーションを可能にします。この方法の主な利点の 1 つは、合成の相対的な容易さ.このビデオでは、反応が時間の経過とともにどのように進行するかを示す機会を提供し、硫黄含有量と存在するモノマーの比率に基づいてポリマーがどれだけ変化するかを示します。ポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)を調製するには、磁気攪拌棒を備えたワンドラムバイアルで所望の重量比で元素硫黄とジビニルベンゼンを組み合わせます。バイアルを185°Cのオイルバスに30分間置きます。反応が完了したら、オイルバスからバイアルを取り出し、バイアルを液体窒素に入れてすぐに急がれる。次いでバイアルを開けてポリマーを除去し、調製したポリマーごとにこのステップを繰り返す。テルポリマーを合成するには、まずポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)をモルタルとペスルで粉砕し、モノマー1、4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジビニルエーテル、またはCDEとのより高い表面積相互作用を行います。次に、ポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)とCDEを600ミリグラムスケールで所望の重量比で組み合わせます。サンプルを90°Cのオイルバスに24時間置きます。その後、試料を室温まで冷却します。完全なモノマーの組み込みが得られていない反応の場合は、可溶性ポリマー部分をジクロロメタンに溶解し、冷メタノールで沈殿する。溶解度が限られているサンプルの場合は、固体ポリマーサンプルを冷たいメタノールで洗浄し、未反応のモノマーを除去します。マレイミドを用いてテルポリマーを合成するには、前述のように5グラムスケールで硫黄とジビニルベンゼンを30~70重量比で組み合わせます。磁気攪拌棒を装備したワンドラムガラスバイアルで3対1の重量比でプレポリマーとマレイミドを組み合わせます。ジメチルホルムアミドのマイクロリットル当たり10ミリグラムで混合物を溶解します。その後、24時間摂氏100度のオイルバスにバイアルを置きます。次にポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)と所望のモノマーを、先に説明した1対1重量比で組み合わせ、各種テルポリマーを調製する。反応中の様々な時点で混合物のサンプルを除去し、プロトンNMR分析のために重水素クロロホルムの600マイクロリットルにポリマーを溶解する。元素硫黄ではなくポリマーからの硫黄が重合に必要であることを確認するために、硫黄のサンプルを単独で調製し、前述のようにCDE、ジビニルベンゼン、およびアリルエーテルを用いて調製する。重水素化クロロホルム中の陽子NMRによりポリマーを分析する。得られたプロトンNMRスペクトルを統合して、反応の程度を決定する。ほとんどのテルポリマーの相対的低い溶解度と高い多分散性のために、各ポリマーを1ミリリットル当たり75ミリグラムの高濃度でジクロロメタンに溶解する。その後、0.45ミクロンの疎水性フィルターを使用して可溶性部分から微粒子を除去します。ジクロロメタンを溶出物として、2つのメゾポアカラムを順番に使用し、分析用の屈折率検出器を用いて、ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィーによりサンプルを分析します。ポリスチレン標準の較正曲線に基づいて、数平均分子量と重量平均分子量を決定します。熱特性を調べるために、アルミニウムパンに各ポリマーの30〜50ミリグラムを充填し、得られた温度グラムからガラス転移温度を十分に識別するのに十分なサンプルを提供する。サンプルをスキャンし、2回目のスキャンからサーモグラム値を取得します。溶解性の研究では、各ポリマーの約150ミリグラムを前もって計量したバイアルに計量し、ジクロロメタンに溶解して1ミリリットル当たり75ミリグラムの濃度に達する。8時間後、可溶性部分を取り除き、不溶部分をジクロロメタンで2回洗浄する。残りの不溶性サンプルをオーブンで10分間乾燥させて、残りの溶媒を取り除きます。バイアルを室温まで冷却した後、重量を量り、開始重量と最終重量の差を求めることで溶解率を算出する。ポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)を高温で合成し、硫黄環切断形成ラジカルを開始し、ジビニルベンゼンで重合を開始した。ポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)内の動的硫黄結合は、はるかに低い温度で追加のモノマーと重合を開始するために利用することができる。単官能および二機能性ビニルおよびアリルモノマーを評価し、NMRにより確認された全て重合に成功した。すべての重合のためのモノマー含有量を48時間にわたって監視した。制御反応を行い、重合におけるポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)対硫黄の役割を決定した。この製品は、ポリマー構造の変化、モノマーの組み込み、および硫黄が完全に組み込まれているかどうかを判断するために、プロトンNMRおよびTLCによって調べられた。ポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)CDEのポリマー構造を調べるために、様々な重合を行った。両方の硫黄含有量が増加し、CDEの添加は、ガラス転移温度の低下につながった。初期の分子量の低下の後、CDEの添加は、鎖長の全体的な増加につながった。40%〜50%の硫黄で合成されたポリ(ジビニルベンゼン)に対する最大溶解性を達成した。CDEの添加は、ポリマー溶解度の低下につながった。硫黄含有量の高いポリ(S-ジビニルベンゼン)の溶解度が低い場合は低い溶解性が認められたが、CDEを組み込むことにより溶解性が大幅に向上した。以前に報告されたよりも実質的に低い温度で起こる無溶媒重合を開発することは、多硫化物に組み込むことができるモノマーの範囲を広げます。これにより、新しいアプリケーションへの扉が開いたり、材料が目的の機能に合わせて調整されたりする可能性があります。ポリ(硫黄-ジビニルベンゼン)バイアルの合成中に少量のガスが生成されます(バイアルは、圧力の蓄積を防ぐために半分だけ満たされるべきです)。ガスが吸入されないように、サンプルはフードから取り外す前に通気する必要があります。
