수동 해부 및 조직학적 관찰은 일반적으로 근육 및 결합 조직과 같은 인간 조직을 검사하는 데 사용됩니다. 그러나 수동 해부는 섬세한 구조를 쉽게 손상시킬 수 있으며 조직학적 관찰은 평평한 단면1,2에대한 제한된 정보를 제공합니다. 따라서 조직을 보다 정확하고 효율적으로 검사하기 위해 개선 된 방법이 필요합니다.
종래의 컴퓨터 단층 촬영(CT)은 일반적으로 임상 실습에 사용되지만 작은 구조2,3을구별하는 능력이 부족하다. 마이크로 X 선 CT (microCT)는 그들을 파괴하지 않고, 작은 구조의 3 차원 (3D) 정보를 얻기위한 효과적인 도구입니다. 그러나, microCT는 조밀한 조직만 명확하게 구상될 수 있기 때문에 한정된 적용이 있습니다; 연조직을 분화하는 데 사용할 수 없습니다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 염색제에 사용할 수 있다. 인산성산(PTA), 인산모질산 및 루골의 요오드와 같은 대조강화제는 스캐닝 시연조직대비비율을 향상시킨다4,5. 이러한 에이전트를 비교하는 여러 연구는 PTA가 좋은 성능을 발휘하고6,7,8을처리하기 쉽다는 것을 시사한다.
