리포폴리사카라이드(LPS)의 기도 투여는 작은 동물 모델에서 폐 염증 및 급성 폐 손상(ALI)을 연구하는 일반적인 방법이다. 에어로졸화된 LPS의 흡입뿐만 아니라 비강 또는 내외 주입과 같은 다양한 접근법이 기술되었다. 제시된 프로토콜은 직접적인 경질 LPS 주입에 의해 마우스에서 ALI를 유도하고 혈액 샘플, 기관지 정맥세척기(BAL) 유체 및 폐 조직의 FACS 분석을 수행하는 상세한 단계별 절차를 기술한다. 복강 내 침전 후, 기관노출 및 LPS는 22 G 정맥 카테터를 통해 투여된다. 백혈구 침략을 가진 강력하고 재현 가능한 선동적인 반응, 전염증성 사이토카인의 upregulation, 및 alveolo-모세관 방벽의 중단은 사용된 LPS 복용량에 따라서, 일 에서 일 안에 유도됩니다.
