Vejledende metal aflejring på plasmoniske substrater via plasmoniske varmebærere genereret fra et resonans eksternt felt kunne understøtte 2-trins dannelse af heterometalliske, anisotrope nanostrukturer ved omgivende forhold med nye grader-af-frihed1 ,2,3. Konventionel redox-kemi, damp aflejring og/eller elektro aflejrings metoder er uegnede til behandling af store mængder. Dette skyldes primært overskydende/offer reagens affald, lav gennemløb 5 + Step litografi processer og energiintensive miljøer (0,01-10 torr og/eller 400-1000 °C temperaturer) med ringe eller ingen direkte kontrol over de resulterende materialeegenskaber . Nedsænkning af et plasmonisk substrat (f. eks. au nanopartikel/Seed) i et prækursormiljø (f. eks. vandig PD-saltopløsning) under belysning ved den lokaliserede overflade Plasmon resonans (SPR) initierer eksternt-tunable (dvs. felt polarisering og intensitet) fotokemisk aflejring af forløberen via plasmoniske varme elektroner og/eller foto termiske gradienter3,4. For eksempel er protokolparametre/krav til plasmonisk drevet foto termisk nedbrydning af AU, cu, Pb og ti organometallics og ge hydrider på nanostrukturerede AG-og AU-substrater blevet detaljeret5,6, 7,8,9. Men, udnyttelse af at plasmoniske varme elektroner til direkte fotoreduce metalsalte på en metal-løsning grænseflade er stadig stort set uudviklet, fraværende processer beskæftiger citrat eller poly (vinylpyrrolidone) ligander fungerer som mellemled afgift relæer til direkte nukleation/vækst af det sekundære metal2,10,11,12. Anisotropic PT-dekoration af AU nanoroder (aunr) under langsgående spr (lspr) excitation blev for nylig rapporteret1,13 hvor PT fordeling faldt sammen med dipol polaritet (dvs. den formodede rumlige fordeling af varmebærere).

photodeposition of pd onto colloidal au nanorods by surface plasmon excitation

En protokol er beskrevet til fotokatalytisk guide PD deposition på AU nanoroder (aunr) ved hjælp af overflade Plasmon resonans (spr). Spændte plasmoniske varme elektroner ved SPR bestråling drive reduktiv deposition af PD på kolloid AuNR i nærværelse af [PdCl4]2-. Plasmon-drevet reduktion af sekundære metaller potenserer kovalent, sub-bølgelængde deposition på målrettede steder sammenfaldende med elektriske felt "hot-spots" af det plasmoniske substrat ved hjælp af en ekstern felt (f. eks, laser). En reduktiv plasmonisk fotodeposition protokol potentiates evnen til at guide sub-fem nanometer kovalent metal samling på målrettede steder med optimale interfacial egenskaber ved omgivende forarbejdning betingelser. Den største fordel ved denne teknik er evnen til at bruge et eksternt felt som en laser til at styre tykkelsen og placeringen af epitaxial metalvækst. Vi har allerede vist plasmoniske fotodeposition af metallisk platin og sølv, og har tillid til, at denne metode kan udvides til mange andre for en række katalytiske applikationer.Demonstration af proceduren vil være mig selv og Jonathan Boltersdorf, en kemiker på US Army Research Laboratory. For at påbegynde denne procedure fortyndes 830 mikroslitere af lager koncentreret saltsyre med vand til 100 milliliter for at opnå en 0,1 molar saltsyre opløsning. Fortyndes 4 milliliter af denne opløsning med vand til 20 milliliter for at skabe en 20 millimolar saltsyreopløsning.Pipette 10 milliliter af denne 20 millimolar saltsyreopløsning til passende glasvarer. Dernæst tilsættes 0,0177 gram palladium-to chlorid til saltsyre og blandes via sonikering, indtil alle palladium (ii)chlorid er opløst. Den resulterende opløsning af dihydrogen tetrochloropallidat bør have en koncentration på 10 millimolar, og bør udvise en mørk orange farve.Derefter pipette 2,5 milliliter vandigt suspenderet guld nanorod opløsning med en til 10 millimolar cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromid overfladeaktive stof i en 1 centimeter sti længde makro volumen cuvette med en magnetisk røre bar. Derefter bestråle reaktionen blandingen med en uforpolaret 715 nanometer længe forbi filtreret wolfram-halogen lampe ved en intensitet på 35 milliwatt per centimeter kvadreret i 24 timer. Den næste dag, vaske de resterende kemikalier og reagenser fra palladium-guld nanorods ved centrifugering på 9000 gange G.Brug en pipette til at fjerne supernatant, og re-suspendere pellet i vand.Nedsænk hætteglasset i et bad sonicator i et til to minutter for at sprede nanorods og fuldføre vask. Gentag hele denne vaskeproces igen. I denne undersøgelse registreres UV vis absorberende spektre tidsmæssigt for at belyse ændringer ved tilsætning af hver komponent, der omfatter reaktionsblandingen, begyndende med guldnanorodene.Tilsætning af methanol og saltsyre mindsker absorbansstyrken ved fortynding. Tilsætning af dihydrodgen tetrochloropallidat forårsager UV lag og metal afgift overførsel funktioner til at opstå. Efter ækvivalens i mørke i en time udviser palladium(ii)molekylerne ladetransferbånd på 247 og 310 nanometer.Efter bestråling ved guld nanorod langsgående overflade plasmon resonans, afgiften overførsel bands hurtigt blueshift til 230 og 277 nanometer hhv. Absorbansstørrelsen af den dominerende ladeoverførselstop falder fra 1,7 til ca. 0,47 over en 24 timers periode på grund af fotoreduktion af absorberet palladium(ii) af plasmoniske varme elektroner. De to SPR-tilstande analyseres derefter før og efter resonansbestråling.Den langsgående SPR redshifts fra 807 til 816 nanometer. Med 7 nanometerlinjebreddeudvidelse forbliver den tværgående SPR uændret. XPS bekræfter tilstedeværelsen af metallisk palladium ved fremkomsten af palladium-3D-linjer ved bindende energier på 335 og 340 elektronvolt.TEM afslører morfologier af guld nanorod blandet med dihydrogen tetrochloropallidat i mørke og efter resonans bestråling. Resonans belysning giver skarpe nanorods med ru radiale grænseflader. Sådanne egenskaber er ikke observeret i mørke.Fordelingen af nanorodlængder indikerer, at gennemsnitslængden voksede fra 127 til 129 nanometer. Dette skyldes tilstedeværelsen af fotodeposited palladium i enderne af stængerne, som bekræftet i et EDS kort. Det er vigtigt, at CTAB koncentration ikke overstiger en til 10 millimolar i bestanden guld nanorod opløsning.Ellers vil forløbertransport til guldoverfladen blive hæmmet. Denne procedure kan nemt tilpasses fotoreducere andre katalytiske metaller såsom platin eller iridium på plasmonisk aktive frø strukturer til at syntetisere en bred vifte af fotokatalysatorer. Vi har nu en arkitektur, hvor plasmonisk energi kan overføres direkte til en katalytisk overflade uden nogen interfacial barriere, som gør det muligt for os at undersøge plasmonisk fotokatlyse mere effektivt.Saltsyre er en ætsende, stærk syre og bør håndteres i en røghætte med korrekt personlige værnemidler såsom beskyttelsesbriller og handsker.
