전문장비 없이 도신속하게 수행할 수 있는 복제방법을 개발하기 위해 항생제 내성 플랫폼(ARP)10을구축하였다. ARP는 항생제 보조제의 발견, 알려진 내성 메커니즘에 대한 새로운 항생제 화합물의 프로파일링 및 액티노박테리아 및 기타 미생물에서 유래한 추출물에서 알려진 항생제의 복제에 사용될 수 있다. 여기에서는 항생제 복제에 대한 적용에 중점을 둡니다. ARP는 가장 일반적으로 재발견된 항생제14,15에대하여 효과적인 개별 저항 유전자를 발현하는 이소제닉 대장균 균주의 라이브러리를 이용한다. 대장균 라이브러리가 이차 대사산물 생산 유기체의 존재 내에서 성장될 때, 화합물의 정체성은 관련 저항 유전자10을발현하는 대장균 균주의 성장에 의해 추론될 수 있다.
