当从RT加热到TH时，aTEC通过热充电过程将热能转换成电能，在TH加热时，通过连续放电过程将热能转化为电能。摆脱了对温度梯度或温度循环（如 TGC 和 TREC）的依赖，aTEC 允许在整个充电和放电过程中进行等温加热操作。热感应电压基于GO的伪电容效应，因为加热有利于质子对GO氧功能群的化学吸收，导致GO-水界面的伪电容反应。PANI对增加的电压贡献不大，但在放电过程中提供电子...

无处不在的低级热能（<100°C）可以回收并转化为电1，2，但被浪费。不幸的是，热回收仍然是一个很大的挑战，因为将低级热转化为电通常效率很低，因为温差低，热源的分布性质3。在过去的几十年中，对固态热电 （TE） 材料和器件进行了深入研究，但 TE 器件在低级热力系统中的可扩展应用受到 <2%4低能量转换效率（+E） 的限制。
提出了基于温度对电化学电池的影响的替代方法，作为解决这一问题的一种办法，因为热电化学电池（TECs）的离子塞贝克系数（α）远远高于TE半导体5、6。热加仑电池 （TGC） 利用夹在两个相同电极之间的氧化还原有源电解质，在施加热梯度时在电池上产生电压。据报道，TGC中常用的水费（CN）63-/Fe（CN）64-电解质的α为-1.4 mV/K，并产生±1%的+E 7、8、9、10、11。然而，TGC受到液体电解质离子电导率差的缺点，它比TE材料中的电子电导率小大约三个数量级。电导率可以提高，但这种改进总是伴随着更高的导热率，从而导致较低的温度梯度。因此，TGC 的μE本质上是受限的，因为液体电解质电导率与电极两侧所需氧化还原反应的温度要求之间的权衡。
最近报道了一个基于使用固体铜六角黄酸盐（CuHCF）阴极和Cu/Cu+阳极的电池系统的热再生电化学循环（TREC）12、13、14。TREC 被配置为一个袋电池，以改善电解质的电导率，在 60°C 和 10°C 下工作时，显示± 1.2 mV/K，并且达到 3.7% 的高+E（21% 的+carnot）。然而，TREC的一个限制是，在每个热循环中为电极充电的过程开始时需要外部电力，从而导致复杂的系统设计14。没有此限制的 TREC 可以实现，但它的转换效率很低，为 <1%13。TREC系统表明，由两种不同值的普鲁士蓝色类似物（PBA）组成的钠-电二级电池（SIB）型热电池可以收集废热。热效率 （*） 随 μT 成比例增加。此外， * 达到 1.08%， 3.19% 在 +T = 30 K， 56 K 分开.使用Ni-替代PBA15、16、17、18提高热循环性。
或者，热再生氨电池 （TRAB） 采用铜基氧化还原耦合 [Cu（NH3）42+/Cu 和 Cu（II）/Cu]，通过切换与正极和负极配合的电解质温度，在反向温度梯度下工作，从而产生 0.53% 的±E（13%的μcarnot）。然而，该系统配置了两个充满液体电解质的储罐，导致加热和冷却缓慢。此外，系统中的氨流还引起了对安全性、泄漏和稳定性的担忧 19、20、21 。
在这里，我们提出了一个非对称热电化学电池（aTEC），用于热电转换，这种电池可以通过连续等温加热进行热电放电，而无需在几何结构中保持温度梯度，或在热循环中切换温度。aTEC 使用非对称电极，包括氧化石墨烯 （GO） 阴极和聚烷素 （PANI） 阳极，以及 KCl 作为电解质。它通过GO的热伪电容效应进行热电量充电，然后随PANI的氧化反应放电。值得注意的是，aTEC表现出4.1 mV/K的高°C，达到3.32%的+E，这是70°C（25.3%的+加不）时的最高值。
