또 다른 대체 계산 방법은 정규 부피9,,,,10,11,19,20,,,21, 21,,22에서잘 혼합된 반응의 벌크 시뮬레이션이다.20 벌크 시뮬레이션은 단일 잘 혼합 된부피(23)내에서 많은 종의 반응을 해결하는 데 매우 효율적이지만, 대량 접근법은 고해상도 3D 메쉬에서 많은 잘 혼합 된 복셀 내에서 분자의 반응 확산을 해결하는 데 매우 느립니다. 한편, 개별 입자의 반응 확산의 MCell 시뮬레이션을 이용한 본 방법은 고해상도 3D메시(15)에서효율적으로 작동한다.
이 방법을 사용하기 전에 연구된 현상이 3D 메시에서 관면 반응 확산 접근법이 필요한지 물어봐야 합니다. 이 현상이 수지상 척추와 같은 작은 부피 구획을 가진 복잡한 기하학적 구조에서 확산되는 반응종 중 적어도 하나의 사본(1,000 미만)이 있는 경우, 3D 메시에서 반응 확산의 재차 적 모델링이 적용에 적합하다.
