מאמר זה מספק שיטה לפולחן וחשיפת תאי אפיתל הסימפונות האנושיים ב- ALI המחקה תנאי חשיפה מציאותיים וחוזרים ונשנים לשאיפה שניתן להשתמש בהם לבדיקת רעילות. המאפיינים של מודל התא ושל מערכת החשיפה חיוניים להשגת מודל חשיפה לשאיפה מציאותית שניתן להשתמש בו לחשיפות חוזרות ונשנות. התוצאות על מאפיינים אלה מוצגות להלן.
דרישות ובחירה של מודל התא
בעת בחירת מודל תא מתאים, יש לקחת בחשבון את המאפיינים הבאים:
