수동 촉각 지각은 피부에서 나오는 자극 정보를 수동적이고 정적으로 인식하는 능력입니다. 예를 들어, 공간 정보를 감지하는 능력은 손에 피부에서 가장 강하다. 이 능력은 촉각 공간 시력이라고 하며 촉각 임계값 또는 차별 임계값으로 측정됩니다. 현재, 2 점 임계값은 촉각 공간 시력의 척도로 광범위하게 사용된다, 많은 연구는 중요한 적자가 2 점 차별에 존재한다는 것을 지적하지만. 따라서, 종착식 반자동 수동손가락 각도 자극기(TSPAS)가 개발되었으며, 촉각 각도 차별 임계값을 촉각 공간 시력에 대한 새로운 척도로 사용한다.
