מתקן לביצוע מדידות קריסטלוגרפיה סדרתיות פותח בסנכרון האוסטרלי. מתקן זה משלב מזרק צמיג גבוה שנבנה למטרה, Lipidico, כחלק מקו הקריסטלוגרפיה המקרומולקולרית (MX2) למדידת מספר גדול של גבישים קטנים בטמפרטורת החדר. מטרת טכניקה זו היא לאפשר גידול/העברה של גבישים למזרקי זכוכית ישירות במזרק לאיסוף נתונים קריסטלוגרפיה סדרתית. היתרונות של מזרק זה כוללים את היכולת להגיב במהירות לשינויים בקצב הזרימה ללא הפרעה של הזרם. קיימות מספר מגבלות עבור מזרק צמיגות גבוה זה (HVI) הכוללות הגבלה על צמיגות הדגימה המותרת ל- >10 Pa.s. יציבות זרם יכולה גם להיות בעיה בהתאם למאפיינים הספציפיים של המדגם. פרוטוקול מפורט כיצד להגדיר דגימות ולהפעיל את המזרק למדידות קריסטלוגרפיה סדרתיות בסנכרון האוסטרלי מוצג כאן. השיטה מדגימה הכנת המדגם, כולל העברת גבישי lysozyme לתוך מדיה צמיגה גבוהה (גריז סיליקון), ואת הפעולה של המזרק לאיסוף נתונים ב MX2.
