כתם מערבי (ידוע גם בשם immunoblot) היא טכניקה חזקה ויסודית על פני מגוון רחב של דיסציפלינות מדעיות וקליניות. טכניקה זו משמשת לבחינת הנוכחות, השפע היחסי, המסה המולקולרית היחסית והשינויים שלאחר התרגום של חלבונים1. בשילוב עם ניתוח תמונה דיגיטלית, שיטה זו יכולה לנתח באופן אמין את שפע החלבונים ושינויי החלבון2. למרות כתם המערבי מבוצע באופן שגרתי, היא שיטה זמן רב ועבודה אינטנסיבית. דגירה ארוכה של הנוגדן עם ממברנות נדרשים. כאן, אנו מתארים שינוי בשיטת הדגירה המתגברת על מגבלה זו מבלי להקריב רגישות.
