TEM을 이용한 입자 형태 TEM 이미지는 입자의 존재를 확인하고 SMPS로 측정된 ABS와 PLA 사이의 입자 크기 차이를 확인했습니다. TEM 이미지는PLA(그림 8A)에대해 주로 50nm 정도의 입자 크기를 보여 주었다. ABS 블랙은 100nm(그림8B)까지거의 일관되게 더 큰 입자를 보였다. SMPS와 같이 PLA와 ABS 사이의 입자 크기의 차이를 확인할 수 있습니다. 그러나, 작은 크기는 TEM에 의해 측정되었다. 더 작은 크기는 이전에 설명한 바와 같이 입자 응집기를 측정하는 SMPS와 비응집화 된 입자를 보여주는 TEM 이미지 때문일 수 있습니다.
PLA-구리 필라멘트는 구리뿐만 아니라 PLA입자(도 8C)를함유했다. 구리는 대부분 150nm 정도의 크기로 결정성 형태로 형성되었습니다. 이는 구리 필라멘트의 SMPS 측정에 적합하며, 이는 평균 GMD의 178nm(그림5)에해당한다. 그림 8D는 PLA-CNT 필라멘트에서 방출된 CNT를 묘사할 수 있습니다. 더욱이, PLA-강철 필라멘트를 가진 인쇄 시 작은 강입자의 방출이 관찰되었다(도8E). 알루미늄 필라멘트는 "PLA 화합물 - 매우 높은 양의 실버 알루미늄플레이크추가"32로설명되었다. 도 8F는 SMPS를 사용하여 124nm의 측정된 GMD에 비해 크기가 훨씬 크기가 훨씬 크기때문에 이러한 플레이크의 응집가능성을 나타낸다.
